Chi State Of Mind 3.0 "Her Name is WIndy and She Like to Blow Trees..."
The End...Kinda I flew there that Monday and was supposed to leave out Thursday that didn't happen cause of the weather so i ended up staying till Sat. but my story ends here...cause nothing else happened.
This day started off great and ended horrible but, I made the best of it Scrap and I went to go look for at a phony parking gargage for his old school and got lost and sidetracked due to the rain and the roads were confusing as hell. On top of that when I finally got directions to one of the gargaes the way was block with fallen trees cause of the strong winds. Scrap was saying he never seen anything like it before in Chicago I thought he was trippin due to the fact that they call this the windy city be it turn out a tornado did pass over or something...Being from Mississippi I have slept through tornadoes and thunderstorms so it didn't phase me I thought my flight was still gonna leave...I thought wrong...I should have listened to Scraps mom when she said "You're gonna be there all night you better call and reschedule your flight!"
Scrap took me to this record shop at the last minute mind you my ends are super low like 40 bucks...
Yes that is me diggin trough the 79 cent bins my moms thought me how to bargin shop! Thanks ma!
I came out pretty good for the amount of money I spend I came out with
these...
These JJ's chicken and fish joints are everywhere from the looks of it Church's is shut down in the chi and replaced with this joint.
My flight was supposed to leave at 7 then delayed to 8, then 9, by the time I got to the airport it was delayed till 10.
Gate B19 notice how my time is not even up there.
People looking real crazy.
All the flights were cancelled at 3 a.m. so I tried to get my bag back with the rest of thousands of people as well. They stopped sending luggage back at 4 a.m. said it would be sent to the final destination in the morning how fucked up is that! So for two days I had no clothes but everything worked out in the end.
Enough with the past next week im going to see the roots!

Chi State of Mind 2.0 "So Chi that you thought I was bashful"
Ok so this where you need to go Chi State Of Mind 1.5 to see exclusive video of Dj Terry Hunter remixing Trey Songz new single "I can't help but wait". I posted it on Slamevil.org because blogger didn't have the opinion to up load video until today so go figure... you need to listen to the podcast anyway. Back to the show...

Bijon's the restur- er ah Bistro of choice while I was in the Chi. first its is a awesome place to eat 2 it doesn't close until 4 a.m. How awesome is that! I swear we ate there like everyday.
Scrap thirsty on the grind...
I'm a sneaker head and street wear fashion hypebeast so naturally I had to go to all the hot spots even as broke as I am. We went to Self conscious but that place is WAY over priced and i forgot my camera so no pics of it dope layout though.
Leaders has two locations south side and one on the north side this is the south side location.
Scrap's 1967 Buick Skylark nuff said.
Oh check the background yes that is a Harold's chicken and yes it is next to Leaders so you can go to Leaders get a fresh outfit, get some greasy chicken on said outfit, walk out of Harold's and drop that fit of at the cleaners next door and repeat.
PHLI (Fly) The name comes from "I Love Hyde Park" backwards.

Anyway Dave realized I have mad style a complimented me on my shirt. To get a pic with this dude is equal to get a pic any rapper cause dude is a inspiration, he has own clothing line, store, and companies make exclusive shoes for his store. Enough plugging send me my gear please!!!

3. You have to be 25 to enter the dating game i'm 23 i got in but still DAMN!

Chi State of Mind
Yea so this post is late as hell for no reason beside me being lazy and blogger doesnt upload pictures very quickly so you either enjoy this or not.
First let me say this had to be the most spontanious trip of my life quick story of how I ended up there.
The end of poetry night im chillen talkin to some friend when I get a call from Dj Scrap Dirty.
Scrap- Big Face what are you doing tomorrow?
Venom- Nothing what up?
S-Im gonna fly you up here to Chicago for Terry's Birthday party and to clear your head.
V-Huh?!!? Tomorrow when did you decide this?
S-Just a minute ago so call Mel on 3-way so I can tell her to buy your ticket.
V-Scrap its 2:30 in the morning...
Any way we did'nt get in contact with Mel till about Noon when she proceded to book me on a 5 o'clock flight straight to chicago.
Waiting on my flight...

Everybody met Khayyan Terry Hunter's assistant, we had some words over email so we clash like water and oil. (but then who dont I clash with???)
Green Dolphin Street is a club for the house heads prior to me going there here is some advice I recieved from Scrap and I quote.
"You gonna see some crazy shh like people dancing on speakers, putting their heads in speakers, etc."
"Don't try TO talk to any girls cause they may not be girls Jo."
"You ever heard of Studio 54? Well its like that."

She Actually learned how to sing over house beats from Terry Hunter she was'nt expecting this song to be as big of a hit as it was so it caught her off guard.

I got more pics on the way. That Tuesday though was me taking in the sights scrap drove me around everywhere and I forgot to charge my camera so whatever you had to be there. I do Have Video of Terry Hunter remixing Trey Songz new single "I can't help but wait" So that should be up later.
